Summary

In Chapter 4, Ivy begins to panic in the car on the way to Boston. She feels as if she made a huge mistake. Mateo calls her out for freaking out about skipping school. She used to have a gigantic crush on Mateo, and they had even shared a kiss that had led to nothing except the end of the trio’s friendship. She says she is not panicking and asks where they should go. Cal says he wants to go see the penguins at the aquarium. Mateo mentions that he works at a bar nearby for one of his jobs. Ivy’s brother and best friend text her in a panic as the trio walks through Boston. Cal says they can see the penguins later and starts leading the way, seemingly at random, down a side street.
