Part 2, Inferno: Chapters 23-26 Summary

In Chapter 23, Calla goes into the Chamber with Connor and realizes the whole thing was an ambush. They are now surrounded by so many Guardians that there is no way they can escape. They continue to fight valiantly, however. Suddenly Ariadne opens a door into the Chamber and offers the group a means of escape. They all quickly jump through, but so do several of the wolves. Fortunately, Calla, her wolves, and the Searchers are able to quickly dispose of the wolves. Now on the roof of a nearby building, Calla and Connor are forced to tell the others not only that Monroe is dead, but that the rest of Calla's pack have changed alliances. Connor takes Calla aside and asks her not to say anything about Monroe and Ren's relationship until he can tell her himself...
