Chapter 51-55 Summary

Chapter 51, Trouble Never Comes Alone

When Molly came back Cynthia told her and Mrs. Gibson she had written Roger letters telling him the engagement was off , then she went and asked Mr. Gibson if he would help her find some place else to live as a governess because she couldn't bare to live with him now that he knew this about her. He asked her to give it a day to think it over and then he left, and he sent Molly in to comfort her sister. Just then a messenger came in and asked for Mr. Gibson they said they were from Hamley and that Osborne had died.

Molly told them to find her father and she left immediately to go to the Squire. When she got there he was just sitting with Osborne so she just came in and sat on the floor...
