Summary

In Chapter 6, it is indicated that the prosecution made a mistake when it decided to put Son’s wife, Louise Razko on the stand and arouse some emotion. The problem with Louise’s testimony was that she might have been secretly glad her husband was dead because he was cheating on her. Even the jury wondered if some of Louise’s tears were tears of joy.

The prosecutor for the state was Wagner “Wag” Dunlap. He was excited that the trial against Junior might end in his first murder verdict because he wanted the bragging rights. He believed he could easily win the defense because Junior refused to take the defense of irresistible impulse. This defense would have allowed Junior to avoid the death penalty.
