Leaves
Leaves symbolize outward signs of life and growth. However, the fact that some trees shed their leaves in winter also represents seasonal cycles. To preserve energy, water, and nutrients, trees lose their leaves. This allows them to survive harsh, resource-scarce conditions until spring.
