Part 2: Chapter 11 Summary

Lem used phone records to track down the teenager who helped Garrison call Travis. Lem arrives at the Cornell home days after the attack by The Outsider. Travis tells Lem about the attack, informing him that the dog was killed in the attack. However, Lem later tells Walt that he knew Travis was lying because there was dog hair all over the house. It turns out the teenager warned Garrison of Lem's arrival and Garrison was able to warn Travis. Lem is not bothered by this, however. Lem has quit the NSA and has decided to concentrate more on life than work.

Three years later, Travis and Nora are expecting their second child. Their first, a boy named James Garrison, is celebrating his birthday. At the party are friends from Travis's real estate office, Keene and his dogs, and Einstein's mate...
