Summary

Chapter 38 includes the text of another Facebook thread. Andrew informs the others that Melissa has just been driven away in a police car. He writes that his mother always told him the Quails were trouble.

In Chapter 39, detectives Powell and Crawford informed Melissa that they were treating Patrick’s case as an attempted murder. Powell showed Melissa a copy of one of the posters that Melissa had found in the woods. Melissa was also questioned about the rumored affair with Ryan. Melissa told them if she was not going to be charged with anything, she was going to leave.
