Summary

In Chapter 16, Peralta focuses on his first year at Oxford, in England. He describes his discomfort with the consistently cool and cloudy weather, and how interested he was in the city’s history. He also describes how, shortly after arriving, he met with Amanda in London and was told that she just wanted to be friends. This sent him, he says, into a lot of short and shallow relationships, which he says was all he could handle, given all the stresses in his life. When he has a visit with Nick, Nick suggests that he needs to see himself for all his good qualities.
