A year after the event of “American Gods,” Shadow Moon is wandering the United Kingdom. He walks into a pub and begins to chat with some patrons about their dogs. During this conversation, the local urban legend is mentioned. This urban legend states that if you see the legendary Black Dog, you die. The landlord of the taproom also shows Shadow a cat corpse in a glass case.
