Chapters 14-17 Summary

Chapter 14: Steele and Chloe return to Chicago. Father and daughter make dinner plans and Steele asks if Hattie might join them.

At the press conference following Carpathia's speech at the UN, Williams is the center of attention. Many people, including Rosenzweig, are happy to see Williams. Other reporters are not. Rosenzweig says he will arrange for a meeting between Williams and Carpathia despite the President's hectic schedule. Williams notices that Carpathia has excellent eyesight and is surprised when the Romanian President recognizes him in the crowd. Carpathia attempts to put a scientific spin on the Rapture.
