Farm

The Nelsons' family farm is located in Traverse City, Michigan. The farm has been in Joe's family for generations. The first time Lara comes to the farm is the summer she is working at Tom Lake. Joe invites Lara to the farm to see the property and to meet his aunt Maisie and uncle Ken. Lara accepts, arriving the next day with Duke, Sebastian, and Pallace in tow. All four of Joe's friends fall in love with the place. Although Lara finds the farm beautiful, she is yet unaware that the farm will be her future home.

Joe inherits the farm from his Ken and Maisie years later. After Duke pays them for a plot in their cemetery, Ken and Maisie use the money to move to Arizona. Joe previously saved the farm when he paid off his aunt and uncle's debts with the money he was making...
