Summary

In Part II, “Whatever Mysterious Starlight That Guided You This Far,” Strayed answers questions about the letters she receives, her correspondence with the writers, and her lack of qualification “for this gig” (88).

In “The Baby Bird,” WTF asks “WTF, WTF, WTF” to everything that happens to them every day (89).

Sugar tells WTF that her grandfather used to make her “jack him off” when she was “three, four, and five” (89). For years, the image, feeling, and confusion of this experience haunted Sugar. Years later, she found a dead wounded bird. Aware it was suffering, she suffocated it. It reminded her of her sexual trauma. However, the experience taught her she was in control. She tells WTF they should ask better questions (91).

In “Go! Go! Go!,” Considering Going Solo is unsure if they should leave their band, move away, and pursue solo work.
