Marvell, Arkansas

Marvell, Arkanasas is where Levon Helm grows and goes to school. He comes back and plays the prom dance here in April of 1965. At that point he and his band meet Sonny Boy Williams and plays with him just before he dies.

Canada

Canada is where the band plays during most of their early years. Most of the boys are from Canada. Levon marries his friend Connie Orr who lives in Toronto so he will not have to go to war. They spent about half their time between Canada and the south.

New York

New York is where they meet with Eric Schuster, a music-bizzer who says he wants to help them record an album. The contract turns out to only be beneficial to Mr. Schuster and the band passes on it.
