Summary

In Chapter 51, Daniel was already unhappy because Ben, Ruby, and Cora had refused to eat the lamb he had grilled when Joy announced that she wanted to invite Karl to Ruby’s bat mitzvah. Daniel said it was inappropriate. Molly agreed.

The following morning, Joy noticed that Coco had done quite a bit of rearranging in the house. She had believed that she would feel she was at home again at Upstate but instead felt more out of place than ever.
