Summary

One day, Roz finds Jaya hiding in a workshop while playing hide and seek with her brother, Jad. Although Jaya asks Roz to pretend she did not see her, Jad commands Roz to show him where Jaya is. They then tell Roz to play hide and seek with them. Roz agrees, but her advanced hearing is able to pick up everything the children do and she finds them in a collective 14 seconds. When the kids tell her to hide, she camouflages so well that they try for an hour before giving up. They tell her to let one of them win next time, and the author says she did. Roz enjoys playing, as pictured on page 41. However, she hopes she can convince the children to help her escape as she still dreams of returning to the island...
