Chapters 5-8 Summary

Chapter Five starts by saying the world is ending. Prometheseus is driving a Jeep with Perenelle Flamel and her dying husband, Nicholas Flamel, as Prometheusus' Shadowrealm collapses around them. Helping the Flamels track Josh had weakened Prometheseus that now the world he created could not continue; he was barely able to keep it together as he drove the Flamels and himself to Point Reyes. He is very upset that his Shadowrealm and its people have been destroyed because of the Flamels. He agrees with Scathach that death and destruction follow the Flamels.

In Chapter Six, Sophie and the Japanese warrior Niten are escaping Dee's lair. Sophie is clearly upset that her brother Josh did not join her and chose to stay with Dee. She keeps repeating that Josh is gone. Niten feels her pain but tells her the strong survive but...
