Summary

In Chapter 8, Ada and Jamie woke up before Miss Smith. Ada fixed Jamie breakfast and then went outside even though Jamie argued with her and told her it wasn’t allowed. Ada told him she believed it was her reward for being so brave. She went directly to the pony putting her arms around his neck and petting him. She wasn’t sure how to get onto the pony so she just sat in the grass and watched him as he grazed. She fell asleep in the grass. Miss Smith woke her up telling her she was sunburned and asking why she hadn’t woken her up. Miss Smith helped Ada inside. While Ada and Jamie ate Miss Smith noted how dirty Ada’s bandage was.
