Point of View

The novel is narrated by Claudia, the protagonist, who is a former English major that loves nothing more than reading mystery novels. Because of this, she is constantly comparing herself to characters in literature and thinking about her life as if it were a novel. Even before Claudia gets roped into a murder investigation, she is obsessed with seeing the world through the lens of a literary detective, which are her favorite characters to read about.
