Molly Peskin-Suso

Molly Peskin-Suso is the main character and narrator of this novel. She is seventeen years old and is the daughter of Nadine Suso and Patty Peskin. Patty is her biological mother. She was conceived using a sperm donor. Molly has a fraternal twin, Cassie.

Molly describes herself as being overweight but she does not feel embarrassed by her weight except when she thinks about how a boy might react to her body. She struggles with the way girls and women are portrayed in media and movies. Only thin women are considered as actors and models while heavier girls are only included as the objects of jokes.
