Summary

In “Second Moon,” Maali visits “the rooftop of Hotel Leo” (89). He still cannot remember how he died. Sena confirms he has amnesia (89). Dr. Ranee recommends an Ear Check again, as it “will reveal” if he is “ready for The Light” (90). Visiting “The River of Births shows you your past” (90). Maali is more concerned with Down There, but Dr. Ranee says spirits get stuck in the In Between trying to change Down There. Maali is unconvinced, still desperate for “the world to see” what he saw (91).

On the rooftop, he watches a line of suicides stand on the edge. Sena guesses Maali was thrown off the roof “by a death squad” (93). Then he gives a speech to the suicides. He wants to amass an army of spirits to help him complete another mission.
