Victorian London

The story is set in 1872 in Victorian London. The front and back of the book give some context to help the reader understand what life was like in this year. Victorian London was an interesting place; the Victorian age was one of expansion, new discoveries, exploration and scientific achievement. It was a time of great wealth and influence for the British Empire. Inventions such as photography and steam power were making things possible that people could never have imagined before.
