Was Frances Perkins impeached? Why or why not?

No, as the accusers had insufficient evidence. Though rumors and the public opinion confirmed her as a Communist subversive, this was largely due to her already-present unpopularity in D.C. and with the public. When she actually took a stand and faced the House Judiciary Committee, she had legitimate, knowledgeable, and detailed answers for every question that they asked her. Thus, they decided that it was unlikely that she deserved impeachment. However, this was barely reported on, and her reputation was ruined by the process.
