In Chapter 13 Bobby tries the only food available on Veelox, which is known as gloid. It has the consistency of yogurt and has three different flavors that can be eaten separately or blended together. Bobby hates the blue variety when not mixed with the others. He learns that Veelox has many pyramids in all the major cities. After dinner Evangeline displays a level of knowledge about the territories and Bobby's experiences that surprises him. He then has an argument with Aja about the pyramids and how the people need to break their addiction to virtual reality.
