Asteri (aka The Shining City)

Asteri is a hilltop town called the City by those who lived there. Those who lived elsewhere called residents of Asteri the ‘shining people’ and the city itself the Shining City. Stone walls which are writhed with enchantments and are almost as tall as the trees below surround the city for their protection.

Barrow

Barrow is the name given to the forest and surrounding darkness at the bottom of Asteri, and is where the marketplace is. Magic smiths ply their trades and sell their wares. The Barrow is where the monster first shows itself to Oscar when it attacks Master Caleb and kills him.

Children’s Home

The Children’s Home is where Oscar came from, located on the eastern side of Aletheia where no magic exists. He remembers little about it, and tries not to think about it too much.
