PART II—Pages 30-39 Summary

In PART II, pages 30-39, when the detective tells Jason he is the last one to see Alicia alive it takes Jason's breath away. The detective questions Jason about what happened at Alicia's house while Jason was there. The detective also asks what time Jason left and arrived home, as well as when Jason's mother and sister arrived home. Jason answers the detective's questions, but when Jason returns to his room, he thinks about all of the details he did not provide to the detective.

In the details that Jason does not share with the detective, the conversation between Alicia and her brother, Brad, seems as if something happened between them earlier in the day. Whatever happened made Alicia madder and moodier than she normally is toward her older...
