Summary

Chapter Six begins as winter envelopes the campus in a bitter cold. The Lore Master, Jiang, has still never showed for the first year student's Lore class so all of them but Rin have stopped visiting the courtyard during their allotted class time. Rin practices her martial arts and combat in the courtyard during this class time until one day Master Jiang interrupts her. She informs him that she was kicked out of Combat and has been training. Jiang observes her forms and informs her that he will teach her from now on. Rin tells Raban and other students to have them inform her that he was previously apart of the Cike, a Militia division that carried out assassinations for the Empress.
