Summary

In Chapter 1, before Holly left Dayton she visited Holmes’ gravesite. She noticed his gravestone had been knocked over and she set it back up. Walking to buildings near the cemetery she took pictures of the empty train station, empty boxcars, dilapidated factory, and abandoned car wash.

In Chapter 2, Holly visited the site where the Howard girls’ bodies had been found. She took a picture of a makeshift shrine set up there.

In Chapter 3, between her flights, Holly downloaded information which she read while she was in the air.

In Chapter 4, the eager curiosity in Ralph’s face and his build reminded Holly of Bill, her mentor. Before the meeting, Holly went to the bathroom to say a quick prayer for strength and confidence.
