Summer 1524 Summary

Mary is confined in a dark room to await the arrival of her child. Anne is allowed to come from Hever to be with Mary for the birth. She has been bored and ignored at Hever, and has not even taken the time to notice the local farms, choosing instead to stay inside and read. There is still tremendous jealousy between the girls, with Anne saying that the only way to come to the attention of their family is to climb into the king's bed.
