It is even revealed that Mrs. Carr wanted to live in New York and have a musical career but she gave it up to be the Coach's wife and live in the college town.

Dallas is a major metropolitan city in Texas and the home of the Dallas Cowboys football team. Ryan's home is located there as well as Shea's job on the newspaper.
