Love Conquers All

The love between Noah and Allie transcends ages and even an incurable disease that medical care professionals are unable to explain. This love survives decades of separation and an attempt by Allie's mother to keep them apart. Allie and Noah meet as teenagers and Allie's mother naturally believes the two have a "puppy love" relationship, and she dismisses its importance. She explains that as the reason she kept Noah's letters from Allie, saying that she had never really expected that it would matter and that the love would fade in time. This doesn't happen as evidenced by Allie's decision to visit Noah just weeks before her wedding.
