The next morning, Dot meets Sabine in the kitchen, prepared to take her to the airport if she asks to leave. When Sabine declines to leave, Dot tells her how poorly she had dealt with the entire affair, how she had named Bertie after her father and how she thought now that it sent the wrong message to Guy, that it told him that she missed her abusive husband more than the son that had protected her.
