Chapter 8: To All the People Who Didn't Die Summary and Analysis

For weeks after the trip, he was terrified and depressed. Manson became weak and unsure of himself and allowed Nancy to take control of him. She began making decisions for the band and coaxing him into taking more acid which he really didn't want to do. Manson got a call that Nine Inch Nails who wanted the band to open for them. Manson and Nancy both took acid before the show. It didn't seem to have an effect on Manson but Nancy was sobbing the whole time, asking Manson to beat her. The crowd loved the brutality so he complied.

Eventually, Manson was able to break free of Nancy's spell and threw her out of the band and out of his life. She was distraught and vowed...
