Chapters 5-10 Summary

In Chapter 5, after the volleyball game, Will turns down a date with his ex-girlfriend, Ashley, causing his friend Scott to become angry with him because this means that Ashley's friend, Cassie, will not go out with him. As they debate this, they go to a nearby snack bar for burgers. Marcus and his friends come in and start a fight with Scott over a secret they all share from the previous spring. Ronnie breaks up the fight when she notices a toddler who is lost and is frightened by the yelling. When everything has calmed, Ronnie goes with Marcus and Blaze to Bower's Point, a local hangout spot. Will overhears this and finds himself telling her dad where she has gone when he shows up a few minutes later. A local cop, who is friends with Ronnie's dad, insists on going...
