Summary

Chapter 1 opens with Lobbi informing the reader that he is preparing to leave home, which is in an unspecified country. His father cooks for him, and they talk about Lobbi’s late mother’s recipes. Lobbi collects a rose plant from the greenhouse to take with him. Lobbi and father talk about Lobbi’s child from a one-night stand. The child is being taken care of by the mother, Anna. Lobbi wonders how his father and twin brother Jósef, who is autistic, will be when Lobbi leaves.

In Chapter 2, Dad is making a fish dinner; Lobbi does not want to tell him that after working on a fishing boat for four months, he does not enjoy eating fish anymore. They eat dinner and afterwards, Lobbi feels pain in his stomach.
