Summary

Chapter 25 – Sarah returns to the cottage. True to his word, Johnny has moved out. Sarah wonders if she has ever known the real Johnny. Johnny has left the house very neat and very empty of his things, which Sarah regrets. Her mind alternates between despising and missing Johnny. She finds a receipt for Harborside Florist for the hydrangeas, dated the day before the dinner at Eris’s. Jessie speaks with Sarah, having heard rumors from her parents that she and Johnny are getting a divorce. She also reveals that, because she is now 18, she is leaving with Adrian. Sarah urges Jessie not to leave with Adrian, waiting in a car. Adrian gets out of the car to demand Jessie leave with him now. Sarah tells him Jessie is not going anywhere with him. Adrian begins yanking Jessie. Eris suddenly appears on scene, waving around...
