Cassandra “Cassie” Bowden
Cassandra “Cassie” Bowden is the main character of the novel who becomes caught up in the murder of a Russian spy. Cassie, a flight attendant, often picked up men in the cities to which her airline flew so it was not unusual for Alex to ask her to dinner. Cassie liked to drink and party. She lived her life with few responsibilities and no deep connections. Cassie had lived through a troubled childhood as the daughter of an alcoholic father.
