Summary

Kent, an American from Rhode Island, decides to go to Buenos Aires for a vacation after divorcing his wife. He believes it will be easier on him and his young daughter if they do not have to follow the joint custody schedule set up by the court for the Christmas holiday.

One morning, Kent is sitting at a table outside the cafe El Gallego. He is talking with Leticia, a video artist, when the owner, El Gallego, comes outside to extend the awning in front of the restaurant. Kent describes the water that falls from the awning as it is extended. He explains it falls directly onto one man standing on the sidewalk. No one else gets wet or is even splashed with water.
