Summary

Chapter 28

Greta ends up accepting Hans’s offer to travel. The two of them return to his and Einar’s old home. Greta feels strange about returning to America, but she decides that it’s the right thing to do. Carlisle has been writing, insisting that Bolk is optimistic about the surgery and that everything is going to go well with Lili. Greta tells Han’s about the paintings that Lili refused to take, and Hans recommends that she take them for herself.
