Mochudi

Mochudi is the city where Ramotswe lived as a small child. It is the same place where Marang was hit and badly injured by someone driving a blue car. During their investigation of the incident that caused Marang’s injuries, Charlie and Ramotswe visited Mochudi several times. On his first visit, Charlie questions Eddie about any blue cars needing repair. During a final visit, Charlie and Ramotswe together talk to Eddie’s mother, a visit during which the truth comes out that it was Eddie who hit Marang and caused his injuries.

Coffee Bar

It is while Queenie-Queenie and Charlie are on a date at a coffee bar that Hercules and Charlie meet for the first time. Hercules offers to arm wrestle Charlie, a proposition that ends with Charlie’s arm in a sling.
