The Boy

The boy is not given a name, he is a generic young boy. He suffers with the fears that all children, and even adults, struggle with. His animal friends teach him that to be successful is to love, that he should not base his value on how others treat him, and that he is worthy of love even if he is not perfect.

His goal in the story is to locate home. Although he travels through the wilderness and the storms, he never finds his specific home. He comes to realize that home is a place where he has friends who accept and love him.
