Montpelier Estate

The Montpelier Estate is the plantation on which Lilith was born and spends the majority of her life. At the end of the novel, the slaves rebel, but fail. She continues to live there afterwards, thus completing a full circle in terms of her homes.

The Cave in the Hill

The cave in the hill is where the night women meet. It is also the place where Lilith learns that she has half-sisters and that Jack Wilkins is her father.

Robert Quinn's house is the place where Lilith lives prior to the rebellion. There, Robert tries to live with her as a normal couple, something she knows they can never be.
