Elk Cliffs

Elk Cliffs Resort is where Ory and Max are initially when the Forgetting starts. While they were only meant to be there for a few days wedding party, Ory and Max end up staying the longest of anyone, surviving off of supplies gathered in the early days and the wilderness. This is also where Max first loses her shadow and where she runs from after Ory is forced into the nearby town of Arlington for supplies.

Washington D.C.

Washington D.C. is where Ory goes to try and find Max, believing she would want to spend her final days at their apartment. D.C. is also where Naz and Rojan end up after the escape from Boston.
