Haunted by the Past

Calexico Moore was born in Calexico, California to a Mexican woman and a rich businessman. Calexico spends his first few years of life living in a huge house that is designed to look like a castle. Calexico is happy in this home, happy to have his mother and father. However, when Calexico is still a young boy, his father learns that his mother is married to a man in Mexico. Outraged by her lies, Calexico's father sends his mother back to Mexico, forbidding her to return. The father also sends Calexico away, refusing to acknowledge him as his son. Calexico grows up in Mexico unhappy, often making the trip across the border to stand outside his father's house and watch for any signs of forgiveness.
