Summary

In King’s introduction to "Morality," he writes that he learned the most about morality in college when money was tight and he was forced to do things he did not like to make ends meet. For instance, when he moved off-campus he sometimes shoplifted meat to supplement his diet. He occasionally earned money by writing papers for students. He also sold his blood. King, raised a Methodist, believed he had turned into a “whore” (164) who was selling himself in the form of papers and blood instead of sex. He considered then that in the right circumstances, some people might be willing to sell anything. They might wind up regretting that decision.
