Summary

In Chapter 7, Leia recalled a moment in Violence and Violet where Violet had started to change and enjoy the violence she was witnessing. Leia believed this may have been what had made her novel popular. Standing by the car after the discovery of the bones, Leia told Birchie and Wattie to go inside while she dealt with their intrusive neighbor, Martina Mack. Martina called her grandson, Cody, who was a police officer and told him to come there. When he arrived he put police tape around the scene after looking in the trunk.
