Summary

In Chapter 41, a group of people calling themselves the Alaskan Travelers show up. Thomas is smitten by a German woman named Frauke who has a dog. Newt is not impressed, and Bailey keeps his distance. However, Bailey makes friends with a lab owned by a girl form Oregon.

Frauke offers to read Tara’s fortune. She tells Tara that if she does not try for something higher, she will always stay lower. Newt offers the dog some food, but Frauke says that it is fasting.The dog is still looking at the food. Frauke orders it away when Newt tells her that you cannot make a dog fast. He says that he hopes that the woods do not remind her of the dog’s order on the food chain. Later that evening, Frauke’s dog attacks the lab who has a deer...
