The Playhouse

This is where James works as an apprentice to Master Phillips and the King’s Men performance troupe practices. Joan’s parents allow her to work behind the scenes here, even though she is not allowed to perform by law. Since it is closely tied to the theatre, Joan faces Auberon here when she takes her brother’s place for a performance.
