King's Truth

At the end of Chapter 4, the author comments that civil rights activist Martin Luther King Junior "spoke the truth that we have yet to fully acknowledge" (40). Do you believe this is true? Is the truth spoken about by Dr. King still unacknowledged? Or things starting to change?
