On Monday, November 20, Tino, Theresa and the other members of Paul's project group come to Paul's house to work on the final layout of their project, which they've agreed Paul should do on his computer. After they come to decisions about the fonts and graphics, they go outside. Erik and Arthur come through the back gate and begin taunting the group, Erik pointing out that the "farm labor kids" have been invited to town. Paul urges Tino to ignore them, but Tino can't, and when he confronts Erik, Erik hits him full in the face with his fist. Tino and the others leave, as does Erik and Arthur. On Tuesday, November 21, Paul wants to tell his father about Erik's attack but can't bring himself to do so. That evening, Paul goes with his mom to their storage locker to pick up...
