Summary

Scene Three opens in February of 2000, with Jason and Chris at the bar. The boys drunkenly chat with Stan. Oscar is quietly present, taking care of work around the bar. Jason discusses buying a Harley motorcycle. The audience learns that Tracey is Jason’s mother in the opening lines of this scene. The guys ask if Tracey will be upset if Jason purchases the bike. He does not care what his mother thinks. Since she’s not paying for it, her opinion does not matter. She made it very clear that Jason was on his own when she changed the house locks on his 21st birthday.

Jason explains that he has to save money for another month and a half, because most of his paycheck is currently going to union dues. Chris chimes in on this sentiment. He has been working overtime...
